What is this medicine?

Nailrox Nail Lacquer is an antifungal medication with an active ingredient ciclopirox. It is used in the treatment of fungal skin and nail infections. It works by stopping the growth of fungi, thus treating the infection.

How should I use this medicine?

Nailrox Nail Lacquer is for external use only. You should use it in the dose and duration as directed by your doctor. The amount you need, and how long you take it will depend on what you are being treated for. You should normally wash and dry the affected area before applying a thin layer of the medicine. You should avoid getting in contact with your mouth, eyes, and nose. In case of accidental contact, wash it off with plenty of water. Keep using it regularly to get the most benefit. Before using Nailrox Nail Lacquer, clean and dry the affected area. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Trim your nails. Apply the medicine with applicator brush to the nail and its underside and let it dry for 30 seconds. Nailrox Nail Lacquer is effective if used in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Do not stop taking it even if you see improvement in your condition. If you stop using Nailrox Nail Lacquer too early, the symptoms may return or worsen.

This is how it prevents further growth of fungi and helps to treat your skin and nail infections.

What about contraindications?

Nailrox Nail Lacquer is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Nailrox Nail Lacquer is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

What are the possible side effects?
